Here is a sample of some of the icons I’ve produced during my time on For Honor. My responsibilities include drawing the icons, exporting the textures and doing the data integration in-engine. All icons were drawn in Adobe Illustrator.

Hero Skins and Barracks Customization Icons
Hero Skins are a monetization item introduced in Year 6, adding a new level of customization for heroes. I designed and integrated an icon to represent Hero Skins, taking inspiration from existing For Honor icons and general industry trends. I also took this opportunity to perform a much needed refresh of some of the icons in that section of the Barracks. The result is more cohesive with the overall iconography of the barracks in general.


Eco Mode
Eco Mode is a feature for the console version of the game where graphic quality and frame rates are automatically and dynamically changed to optimize energy consumption without compromising gameplay. I drew the icon that appears on screen when Eco Mode is active. This feature won the Best Green Tech Award in the 2024 edition of the Play for the Planet Awards.



Hero Feat Icons: Kyoshin and Pirate
Certain game modes in For Honor include feats which are special abilities that are unlocked through gameplay. Every new hero released has four unique abilities. UI Art regularly collaborates with Game Design for the production of the icons representing these feats. We pull from an established visual language, ensuring each icon is legible and fits within For Honor’s art direction.
